SIM Card Contract Terms and Policies
Prepaid SIM Card Guidelines
Device Compatibility
- Ensure your device is compatible using our supported smartphone list.
- Use an unlocked (SIM-free) device. Locked devices will not work. Contact your device provider for unlocking assistance.
Eligibility & Required Documents
- Prepaid plans require only a passport or Alien Registration Card (ARC).
- Minors (under Korean law) need additional documents for activation. Contact Seoul Mobile Hub customer support for more information.
Package and Fees
- The package fee includes the plan fee, SIM issuance, and activation fees. Refunds or returns are not available after activation.
- LG/KT prepaid plans can only be canceled or changed after 91 days of use. A penalty of 50,000 won applies for cancellations within 91 days.
Service Terms
- Contracts linked to an ARC cannot be extended or managed after the ARC or visa expires. To extend your service after renewing your visa, contact us via Seoul Mobile Hub customer support.
- Multiple contracts under the same name are not allowed, including contracts with other companies.
- International calls are not supported. For international calls, purchase a separate charge card.
- The SIM card is for use within South Korea only. Cards activated with a passport will be automatically canceled when you leave the country. Refunds for unused periods are not provided.
Service Activation & Management
- SIM activation hours are:
- Weekdays: 10:00-18:00
- Saturdays: 14:00-18:00
- Activation is unavailable on Sundays and Korean holidays.
- Prepaid plan top ups occur daily at 13:00 (reservation required).
- No cancellation procedures are required. Simply dispose of the SIM card when the plan ends.
- Activation and shipment will be based on the information provided. We are not responsible for issues arising from incorrect information or defective devices.
Identity Verification
- With an ARC, personal authentication (본인인증) is available for adults under Korean law.
- You can change the registration from your passport to your ARC, keeping the same phone number (not available for minors).
- Some services may be unavailable to foreigners due to Korean laws or website terms of service.
Postpaid SIM Card Guidelines
Device Compatibility
- Check if your device is compatible using the supported smartphone list.
- Use an unlocked (SIM-free) device. Locked devices cannot be used. Contact the store where you purchased the device for assistance with unlocking.
Eligibility & Required Documents
- Postpaid plans require a valid Alien Registration Card (ARC) with at least 30 days remaining on your visa and a Korean bank account under the same name.
- Contracts with non-Korean IDs may require additional documents and may have usage restrictions. Contact Seoul Mobile Hub customer support for guidance before making a reservation.
Service Terms
- Postpaid plans can be canceled after at least 6 months (184 days) of use. Early cancellation within 183 days will incur a 50,000 KRW penalty.
- Contracts registered under an ARC cannot be extended or managed once the ARC or visa expires. If you renew your visa, contact us promptly to extend your SIM usage.
- Foreigners are limited in the number of contracts allowed. Multiple contracts under the same name are not possible. Exercise caution if using SIM cards from other providers.
- Exceeding the included services, such as international or premium-rate calls, will result in additional charges.
Number Transfer
- To use the number transfer service, you must have a prepaid SIM card contract registered under your ARC for at least 90 days.
Service Cancellation
- Before leaving Korea, ensure all cancellation and payment settlement procedures are completed.

- SIM activation and contracts will be processed based on the information provided. Please double-check all details to avoid issues. We are not responsible for problems caused by incorrect information or device malfunctions.
